A few years in the future we see Luffy has held strong to his ideas of justice and piracy. A strange but wonderful combination, Luffy has found two comrades so far that meet his standards. Zolo an amazing and loyal sword fighter uses three swords to fight in hopes of becoming the worlds best sword fighter. The Grand line is the destination of all the world’s best pirates as it holds the greatest treasure of all, the one piece. Rumored to grant fame, fortune and power to whoever finds it first, it is a mad dash for this epic treasure. With lives on the line, Luffy, Zolo and new found navigator Nami begin their journey towards the grand line. They encounter many skilled and dirty pirates and make friends at every endangered town. Rescuing cities from the evil Bogy clown with chop-chop powers, taking on huge crews with Luffy’s stretch ability, seeming indestructibleness, Zolo’s swordsmanship and Nami’s whit and skills the small crew is entirely undefeated so far despite the odds. Held up in a small town they are now battling to stop a pirate invasion that would cost the lives of the villagers and one particular damsel. The butler of this maiden, the notorious Captain Kuro has been working undercover to gain the estate and riches of Kaya, the only remaining member of the family. He has spent three years working to gain the trust of the town and Kaya, and today his plan is to attack the villagers with a secret pirate crew and then murder Kaya and sit on his mountain of riches. However the towns’ local trouble maker Capitan Usopp, friend of Kaya, plans to stop the pirates. Known as the town’s liar he desperately tries to warn everyone but it’s a cry wolf situation. Usopp decides to hold them back so the town will think it was just another lie and know no different of their impending doom. So far the team has managed to stall the crew, and at this point Captain Kuro is getting frustrated as his plans are being foiled. Gathered at the shore in epic battle we will have to wait till season two to discover the fate of our heroes, and this small unsuspecting town.
PRESENTATION
Simplistic and juvenile, this is not my favorite style of art work but it does have its own characteristics. I feel like I’m watching some kind of Saturday morning cartoon again like the days when I would plant myself in front of Tail Spin. Though there is a lot of violence and some intense moments it has an overall fun tone to it.

Marathon Play Feature– I really enjoy this being a reviewer I often have to get through as much anime as possible. This allows you to watch all the shows consecutively with out having to go through the opening song, next previews or ending credits.

OVERALL
A great relaxing break from your typically extremely dramatic anime, this show is full of adventure, pirates and violence, yeay violence! This is something to watch on a Saturday morning when the kid in you is desperately wanting some good TV vibes. Luffy the ever hopeful pirate hopes to be King of all pirates and obtain the one piece. However, unlike most pirates, Luffy devotes his career to upholding justice and defending the little guys. Using his stretch powers he obtained form the devil Gum Gum fruit, he is a dangerous foe. Gathering a crew from around the world, seeking out the brave, the strong, wise, loyal and a musician, Luffy is off to a good start.
