Rei fills in the gap as a daughter figure to Roy(although she is older than him) and finds a family to fit in with. Although this show is fictional, It brings out a reality in humanity, “We all try to find acceptance from someone, we all have a desire to be loved.” With Rei, she had to overcome her struggle as a cyborg in effort to fit in with humans. She had great power given to her and she was supposed to be an overseer for the earth, in short she would be over humanity. She overcame her dilemma and became humanity’s hope. Although I am not a cyborg or a celestial being( I want to be), I can relate because I have to struggle as a Christian, and I have my pigment disorder to overcome. Both of these made me feel different from the world and there were a lot of times where I felt like I did not belong to anyone and I did not feel like a human, whether it be with my friends, family, or strangers. I tried to fit in with society but I’ve always had to bare that feeling in me that the people I encountered would look at me in a different way because I was not what they were use to seeing. I felt like giving up but it was by the grace of God that I am able to stand up and be somebody, It was because of him that I am loved by someone. I have a friend that God blessed me with, she is a beautiful person in everyway and she has been a blessing in my life. When I am around her, I feel whole. It was through her that I got back a lot of things that I was missing out on in life. I thank God that she came into my life and that she is my best friend. Solty Rei demonstrated the way of acceptance, it was very emotional; I have to admit that I almost cried watching that show. I would recommend it to anyone because it was a great show to see.

The DVD menu was well organized; they gave you the option of going to the Prologue all the way to the End. The viewer was allowed to view it in English or Japanese dialogue in addition to subtitles.

The animation was consistent and well organized. It fit well with the mood of the show.
Overall
Great show overall I just wish that they had more of Solty Rei, it proved to be a great suspense thriller to the end, similar to Dragon Ball Z, hopefully one day they will.
