Meanwhile, Landon disappears after a fateful encounter with his father, prompting Hope to make a risky decision to ensure his safe return. Return to Mystic Falls for all 16 spellbinding episodes.”
The CW show, Legacies, is interesting in the fact that it’s a spinoff of a spinoff, the original show being The Vampire Diaries, then The Originals, and now, Legacies. Supernatural teen dramas are still overwhelmingly popular after the Twilight era, and the CW is the place for fans of the genre to get as much of it as they can. While I’m not the target demographic, not having seen any iteration of the series, its predecessors, or any of the earlier seasons, it was quite easy to dive into the world of Mystic Falls and get caught up in the drama of all the characters.
Legacies really is your typical teen drama with witches, vampires and werewolves, so if you’ve been a fan of any of the originating series or earlier seasons, you know what you’re in for. Those that enjoy the genre would be compelled to obviously check out the earlier seasons before jumping in to Season 3, but it has a stand-alone quality where first timers would definitely find enjoyment with the characters as-is.

Video
Legacies: The Complete Third Season has been released on DVD only. This standard definition release does its job with expected limitations on vibrant colors, clarity, and overall fine detail. The show is available to stream on Netflix as well in High Definition, so if you’re a stickler for seeing things the best quality possible, that may be the way to go.
Audio
The audio is presented in Dolby 5.1. The tracks on these episodes are consistently good, with a nice balance between the surrounds and center channel. Dialogue is clear and concise, with no issues of note.
It’s rare these days when TV shows get a physical release, especially ones available on streaming services. Even though it’s DVD only, fans of the show that want to own the series will have no trouble in grabbing this and getting ready for the next season due out later this year. This one is out now!
