Birdman is another cartoon character I didn’t even know about until I saw Cartoon Network’s Harvey Birdman – Attorney At Law. This is another Cartoon Network spinoff of an old Hanna Barbera character, simply named Birdman. Birdman episodes, which featured a Galaxy Trio cartoon in between two Birdman cartoons, aired in 1967. These shows followed the same format as the Space Ghost & Dino Boy car...[Read More]
The Movie Itself“The Lookout” is a movie that you may have missed in Theaters, but don't let that fact sway you from exploring it. With a great cast, fantastic story and character development, and beautiful cinematography, “The Lookout” is a hidden treasure that I think is worth a second look!
Fans of the quirky late night programming on Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim” rejoice, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Colon Movie Film for Theatres” has arrived to DVD. (Hereafter it will be referred to as just ‘Aqua Teen’ because of the ridiculously long title.)
Every generation has a definitive comedy which will stand the test of time, and be passed down as the mark of it's era. I hope and pray to the sweet Lord above that this is not that comedy.
As a kid in the early 90s, I was a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. I had every toy I could get my hands on, I saw all the live-action movies (including the third one, as horrible as it may be), I had the video game, and I watched the cartoon religiously. I even had TMNT birthday cakes two years in a row (both featuring Donatello, my favorite turtle). I think its safe to say...[Read More]
The ShowJ.D. (Zach Braff) and Kim (Elizabeth Banks) are expecting a totally unexpected baby, and they are in a bit of a pickle. See, they never technically had sex (watch the show for J.D.’s hilarious explanation), and they have only been on one date, so they are faced with the life-altering task of deciding whether or not to keep the baby.
Robocop is finally back on a DVD deserving of his awesome name. Yes, Robocop, you remember him don’t you? Unstoppable cyborg police officer that lives to take punks down in gory shoot-out fashion? I have never been a particularly avid viewer of the Reno 911! TV series, but the episodes I have seen have made me laugh hysterically from start to finish. When I read that a movie was being made, I was intrigued. The show was so politically incorrect on cable, I couldn’t even imagine what a film would be like.
The Film:Imagine what it would be like if NATO collapsed, communist powers were starting to take power in the world, and the United States stood alone. That is the scenario in Red Dawn.
The MovieKatherine Winter (Hilary Swank) is a smart, confident professor at Louisiana State University, who makes a profession of using science to explain so-called religious “miracles.” Having lost her faith some time ago, due to a tragic event, she has basically dedicated her life to disproving the existence of a god.
What better time to release a pleasingly middle-of-the-road romance than two days before Valentine’s Day? No Reservations offers nothing you haven’t seen before, but it’s wrapped up in a pleasant enough package, and the food scenes may spark a menu idea or two.
The MovieHuck Cheever (Eric Bana) plays poker for a living, even though he is barely making enough money to live on. He is doing everything he can, including hocking his mother’s wedding ring, to raise enough money to enter a high-stakes poker tournament.
