Logitech Cordless Precision

If you are one of the many PS3 gamers out there who have gripes about the SIXAXIS controller, you might consider an alternative, like Logitech’s Cordless Precision controller. While missing some of the intricacies of the SIXAXIS – primarily the tilt functionality (which, lets face it, isn’t really useful with the current selection of games) and the ability to turn the PS3 on via the controller, th...[Read More]

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune

I’ve said it before, but I will say it again – the PS3 had a mighty impressive showing at this July’s E3, and it’s great to see yet another title from that show come out to retail. This one is by Naughty Dog, the folks behind the Jak & Daxter games, and even further back, Crash Bandicoot. Their newest release, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, stars Nathan Drake, a young fortune hunter who is seekin...[Read More]

The Transformers: The Game

Traveller’s Tales and Activision recently released the official Transformers game on most major platforms. Historically, video games based on movies are notorious for being low quality cash-in games. With Transformers, that’s about what you’re going to get; a shallow, cheesy 3rd person action game that’s not worth your gaming dollar.

Spider-man 3 Collector’s Edition

Treyarch and Activision have teamed up to bring gamers Spider-Man 3, the official game of the movie. I received the PS3 Collector’s Edition in for review and was pretty excited having seen and enjoyed the moving opening night just a couple of weeks ago. I had my concerns though, as I had already heard bad things about this game and well, lets face it nearly every movie game is bad. Unfortunately, ...[Read More]

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Ninja Gaiden was a great old arcade game, one of my favorites. When Ninja Gaiden came to the Xbox in 2004, I was stoked. It turned out to be a tough, but very rewarding and enjoyable game featuring action that was fast as hell and some very memorable battles. This experience was enhanced by the release of the Hurricane packs on Xbox Live and then the release of Ninja Gaiden Black, which I never go...[Read More]

Heavenly Sword

Looking back at E3 this past July, Heavenly Sword was the game I was most eagerly anticipating (not an easy thing to say believe me). While unfortunately brief and linear, Heavenly Sword provided me with a very enjoyable ten hours of play, leaving me wishing their were more than just the ability to play through it again (something I haven’t been able to make the time for). That said, if you enjoy ...[Read More]

Folklore

At this year’s E3, I personally came away most excited about the titles coming out for the Playstation 3. To date, most of those titles have come out, including Warhawk, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Pain – and I’ve enjoyed all of them. I recently completed another title that I saw at E3 that was extremely promising, and that is Folklore. Folklore is a gorgeous game, and I don’t mean just in te...[Read More]

Shrek the Third

The big green ogre we know as Shrek returns this summer with Shrek the Third, in theatres now. Not surprisingly, Shrek 3 the game is out across all major platforms. I’ve been playing the PC version for a while now, and I admit it’s better than I expected for a kid’s movie game, but at the same time it’s nothing to write home about.

Infernal

Do you remember Requiem – Avenging Angel? What a cool game, although it had numerous bugs. Games with battles between heaven and hell are always intriguing, but just having that premise as a backdrop to a game doesn’t make it great. In Infernal, a new third person action game, the struggle between heaven and hell is revisited again. Infernal has a pretty impressive presentation, which I’ll elabora...[Read More]

The Tick Vs. Season 2

The Tick remains as one of my all time favorite cartoons. It was so original, funny, well animated, and perhaps most importantly, it’s as appealing to me today as it was over ten years ago. The Tick finally came to DVD in a two disc set last year, but the event was bittersweet: on one hand, fans rejoiced at finally having The Tick officially coming to DVD. On the other, the set was lackluster; it ...[Read More]

Space Ghost & Dino Boy — The Complete Series

When hear the name ‘Space Ghost’ today, most think of the hilarious Cartoon Network Show, Space Ghost Coast To Coast. Most people do not know, however, that Space Ghost, Moltar, and Zorak played much different roles in 1966. Space Ghost was a courageous space hero, constantly being challenged by foes including the likes of Zorak and Moltar. There was also another series at the time that aired alon...[Read More]

Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme

Comics are one of those entertainment media whereby I am a fan of, and I do have a monthly reading list, but I’m not all that familiar with the classic characters, including Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange, to me, is a very interesting and cool character; one that I used pretty often in Marvel Ultimate Alliance when I played through it on the PS3 early this year. Now, Marvel and Liongate have released an...[Read More]
