Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals

Have you heard of Enki Bilal or his graphic novels? Neither have I, but now having played through Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals, I'm much more interested in the Nikopol trilogy he penned in the late 80s and early 90s. Had I read these before playing Secrets of the Immortals, I'm sure the story would have made more sense, but believe me, even with no knowledge of the author or is work, Nikopol:...[Read More]

Click & Clack’s As the Wrench Turns

One of my favorite shows on NPR that I'm always happy to listen to if I happen to be out driving on a weekend morning, is Cartalk. Mount & Blade

Paradox Interactive was cool enough to provide us with three games for review lately, and having enjoyed space combat with Dark Horizon and the conclusion to an eerie adventure in Penumbra: Requiem, it was time to mount up and ride into an open world single player RPG adventure with Mount & Blade. An ambitious title, Mount & Blade offers players a chance to visit the land of Calradia circa...[Read More]

Hulk

In 2003, Ang Lee directed Hulk, a film about the big green machine in the Marvel universe. The film received mixed reviews, and is often considered one of the weaker comic to movie adaptations. Earlier this summer, the Hulk returned in The Incredible Hulk, seen by many as being a superior Hulk film. While most fans are eagerly anticipating that Blu-ray release, Universal has put together a very so...[Read More]

Penumbra: Requiem

In February, Frictional Games released a chilling first person adventure called Penumbra: Black Plague. Now, Frictional Games brings us the final chapter in the Penumbra adventure in the form of Penumbra: Requiem. While much shorter and different in a few key ways to Black Plague, Requiem is still well worth your consideration.

Dark Horizon

Space combat pilots, take note; you have a new mission coming to a PC near you in the form of Dark Horizon. Featuring all of the action, a helping of RPG, and a good story, Dark Horizon is one to consider.
