Dr. No

As the release date for the newest James Bond film draws ever near, the first batch of Bond films on Blu-ray have come to retail. Part of this batch includes the very first James Bond motion picture, Dr. No. Let's get to the review.

NBA 2K9

I had a great time with two friends last year as we played through our NBA 2K8 season over the course of several months. We've been looking forward to NBA 2K9 since, and now it's finally here, and our new season has begun. The best game for NBA simulation continues to improve upon itself and this year is no exception.

Blitz The League II

Somewhere in between Madden and Mutant League Football lies Midway's Blitz series. This long running series of fictional players and football teams in a brutal, no holds barred league is making its second appearance now on the Xbox 360 in the form of Blitz The League II. The hits are more brutal and the action more over the top than ever, but is the overall experience worth the purchase?

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars

The PSN has become home to many clever downloadable titles, and one of the latest offerings is by Psyonix and it's called Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (SARPRC). It's fun to say fast three times, but is it worth $14.99? How fun is it? Well, let's get to the review.

Linger In Shadows

Linger In Shadows is not a game, it's interactive art; keep that in mind should you decide to purchase it, and you might enjoy it. The experience is exceedingly short and really has no direction, but if you're looking for something different, this may be worth the purchase, but do read on first...

Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan

When you think of Genghis Khan, what do you think of? For most people, including myself, I think of a Mongolian leader from centuries ago who ruled and conquered land with an iron fist. In some ways, that's certainly correct, but as I found out in watching Mongol on DVD, Khan did indeed have a much more humane side to him, not to mention an incredibly challenging life from his youth onward.

NBA 09: The Inside

Sony's San Diego studios returns this year with their next NBA PSP game. We ran a preview article recently on the site, and we've since gotten the game in for review. This year's iteration, NBA 09: The Inside, features more mini-games and refinements than any previous year, as well as the introduction of a Franchise mode for the first time.

Pipe Mania

When your retired father's paradise island is under duress from environmentally unfriendly people, it's up to you, his son (or daughter) to grab your pipe wrench and get busy. This is the basic story behind Pipe Mania, a new game by Empire Interactive based off an old puzzler they released in 1989 named Pipe Dreams.

The Jewel of the Nile

Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny De Vito return one year after filming Romancing the Stone to find The Jewel of the Nile. This sequel, while not as good as the original, is still a very good and enjoyable movie in its own right, combining once again the genres of action, comedy, and romance like few movies then, or even since, have done.

Romancing the Stone

In 1984, Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny De Vito teamed up for a great action/comedy/romance film called Romancing the Stone. I've seen this movie many times over the years, and it's one of the several movies I could watch just about anytime for it's great combination of those three genres. Fox released the DVD in 1999, and again in 2006, and now it comes to Blu-ray.

STALKER: Clear Sky

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was a fantastic game despite being delayed for years and being released buggy. For anyone that stuck with the experience, it proved to be wonderfully immersive and hard hard to put down. Now, GSC Game World has released the prequel expansion pack, set in 2011, one year before the events of Shadow of Chernobyl (SoC). There are some significant changes, both positive and...[Read More]
