Tales Of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Tales of Symphonia was a huge hit for the Gamecube some four years ago, and now Namco-Bandai Games is bringing a direct sequel to Wii gamers in the form of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of A New World. Those who played through and are familiar with the original Tales game are sure to have a much more satisfying experience (in fact if you have your completed save game from the GC, you get a bonus item a...[Read More]

If your DVD player has an AM tuner, you might be interested to know that WYNX is coming back this holiday in a complete series box set. Firefly: The Complete Series

In 2002, Fox aired a sci-fi show that it's safe, and sad, to say most people didn't watch. Largely because it was not an instant success, Fox canceled the show after just eleven aired episodes. The award winning show has only grown more popular over the years with a strong, more dedicated fan base. Fox's Complete Series DVD release was a huge seller for them, and the film Serenity, named after the...[Read More]

Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe

As a life long Mortal Kombat fan, I remember the day that I heard of Midway's announcement that their first next gen MK game was going to combine the MK and DC universes. It was a surprising idea, but not something that hasn't been done before (Marvel Vs Street Fighter). As the months went by, the anticipation grew and now having spent several days with Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, I'm pleased to...[Read More]

Resistance 2

The PS3 has grown up quite a bit in these last two years (happy birthday, by the way). When the system first launched two years ago today, most gamers picked up their copy of Resistance: Fall of Man as soon as possible. Clearly the best launch title, Insomniac Games put together a fine story with great gameplay in this first person shooter set in the 1950s. Now, Insomniac has returned to bring us ...[Read More]

Tropic Thunder: Unrated Director’s Cut

One of my favorite movies this year and the best comedy to hit theaters this year was Tropic Thunder. Due out on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow, the Unrated Director's Cut Blu-ray is definitely one to watch for as it successfully combines a hilarious film, superb picture and sound, and a nice package of extras.

Killzone 2 Beta Impressions

I recently got an invite to the Killzone 2 Beta and I’ve spent a few hours with the beta thus far. For those of you who don’t know, Killzone 2 is a PS3 exclusive that is set to release early next year. Killzone 2 will bring gamers back to the struggle between the ISA and the the Helghast Empire that started in 2004 on the PS2. The beta is multiplayer only, and includes three maps and f...[Read More]

Kung Fu Panda

I remember when I went to see Rambo in theaters earlier this year and I saw a promo poster for Kung Fu Panda. It looked like a hilarious new Dreamworks animation with a story that I could get into. I missed the movie in theaters, but I've been fortunate enough to get the Blu-ray released last week in for review, and man is it great.

King of Fighters Collection – The Orochi Saga

SNK has released several collections of their classic fighters from the 90s, and the newest is the King of Fighters Collection – The Orochi Saga. This compilation disc is very well priced at just $15 online, and contains the original five of SNK's timeless fighting series, the King of Fighters, from'94 through '98.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm

The wildly popular Naruto anime has seen several video game releases in recent years, but the first to reach the PS3 is a system exclusive in the form of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. CyberConnect2, who have plenty of Naruto experience behind them, have clearly spent a great deal of effort capturing the visual feel of the anime, but perhaps at the cost of solid gameplay.

Supernatural – The Complete Third Season

The CW has a cult favorite on its hands in the form of Supernatural. The third season is coming to a Blu-ray player near you this week, and this release contains all sixteen episodes and several extra features.

Chuck – The Complete First Season

NBC's action comedy show Chuck is well into its second season now, and this week the complete first season comes to Blu-ray. This three disc set contains all thirteen episodes from the first season and a handful of extras. Is the content here enough to warrant a purchase?
