Impressions: GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra

GI Joe: Rise of Cobra on the 360 surprised me. Gameplay is somewhat similar to Konami’s old arcade title that has players running and gunning against dozens of Cobra foes. One major point about the game is that it’s actually quite different from the movie. EA was given permission from Hasbro to be liberal with their license, and EA has done exactly that. About a dozen characters are av...[Read More]

Impressions: Darksiders

Vigil Games has been hard at work on their first major release: Darksiders. I was able to play through most of the demo today at Microsoft’s booth, although the game is being published by THQ. I’m still a bit sketchy on the details, but I do know that you play as War, as in War from the Four Horsemen. Basically, from what I gathered, the Apocalypse happened too soon, and you are to bla...[Read More]

Impressions: Bayonetta

I was able to play the demo of Bayonetta today at Sega’s booth, and I have to say I’m definitely looking forward to the full release of it later this year. Controls were pretty typical; face buttons jump, attack, alternate attack, and interact, left stick to move around, and right trigger allows you to evade (as opposed to right thumbstick). Evading is actually a key mechanic to the ga...[Read More]

Live Audio: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Closed Booth Demo

Enjoy these audio recordings of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 showing at E3. The first audio clip is about 20 minutes, and is recorded from the closed booth demo of the game. The other two (one and two) are myself and Steve Schardein, talking to one of the Activision reps outside of the booth demo. Enjoy.

Live Audio: GI Joe: Rise of Cobra

I spent about twenty minutes with an EA rep, playing the GI Joe game for the 360. It’s actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be, and that is partly due to the fact that it’s not bound by the film it’s named after. Enjoy this live audio.

Live Audio: FEAR 2 Map Pack (DLC #2)

Spoke with a fellow from Monolith who’s name I unfortunately have forgotten. We talked about FEAR 2’s second DLC pack as well as some other off topic things. It’s a fun listen, so check it out.

Live Audio: Wolfenstein Closed Booth Demo

Cameras were not allowed, but we managed to get the full audio from the presentation, plus a few questions before and after the showing that I asked. This clip runs about sixteen minutes; enjoy.

Live Audio: Singularity Closed Booth Demo

To compliment our exclusive HD video of the Singularity demo, here is the audio feed from the closed booth demo. It runs about thirteen minutes and reveals quite a bit about the game.

Live Audio: Sony Media Briefing 09

Enjoy this live recording from the Sony Media Briefing. Unfortunately my battery died late into the Briefing, and I didn’t notice until after the Briefing was over, as Sony had my eyes glued to the stage the entire time. Anyway, enjoy these 95 minutes 🙂

Live Audio: Nintendo’s Media Briefing

Here is the full audio version of Nintendo’s Media Briefing from this morning, we recorded it live. It runs 70 minutes and is about 70MB; feel free to download or stream it 🙂 … our free HD video stream will be posted soon. Enjoy.

Live Audio: Darksiders (Demo Play & Q&A)

I snagged this audio while talking to a THQ rep about Darksiders, a new third person action adventure with inspirations from God of War and Zelda. I spoke with the rep for about fifteen minutes and asked him several questions. This audio file is about 14MB. Darksiders is nearly complete and due out later this year. Enjoy this raw feed from the show floor taken as I played through the E3 demo…...[Read More]
