Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

With our Nintendo crew and in house Silent Hill guy at CES, it was up to me to take on the chills in Konami's newest title in the franchise, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Released for the Wii on December 8th, and upcoming for the PS2 and PSP in a week, Shattered Memories puts players in the middle of a dark and twisted psychological tale. While not without its flaws, Shattered Memories is an im...[Read More]

RealView, an Ireland based firm that specializes in optics, released today their V-Screen for the Sony PSP. All PSP models except the Go, meaning versions 1000, 2000, 3000, and "Slim" are supported. While it may look like an old school screen magnifier for the Gameboy, the V-Screen aims to do more by providing not only a larger image but one with additional clarity and even some added depth for 3D...[Read More]

Borderlands DLC (#2): Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot

Borderlands expands again with its second major DLC release, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. Unlike the original game and the first DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Underdome Riot is focused solely on surviving wave after wave of CPU enemies. What you'll face in this DLC is not unlike the Horde mode from Gears of War 2 or Firefight from Halo. Underdome Riot also includes a new weapons storage bank t...[Read More]

The Marine 2

20th Century Fox and WWE Studios are back with another straight to video action film. This time it's The Marine 2, a sequel to Jon Cena's The Marine which came out in 2006. There is no connection between the two films other than the name, although they do share another commonality: neither are worth a purchase, but die hard action fans may want to give them a rent.

Darksiders

One of my favorite games from last year's E3 was Vigil Games' first major title: Darksiders. This third person action adventure game in the vein of God of War and Devil May Cry casts players as War from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Darksiders tells a tale of revenge and redemption, packed with violence and a variety of familiar, yet very well implemented, gameplay elements. With only minor...[Read More]

Schrödinger’s Rat

Southpeak Interactive has just dropped its first entry into the App Store with Schrodinger's Rat. We've done some previous coverage of the game in the last couple of weeks, and over the past few days I've had the chance to play the game for review. If you're into accelerometer based maze games, you can't go wrong with Schrondinger's Rat, but other than that niche audience, it's hard to outright re...[Read More]

Roswell Fighter

I've been getting a lot of iPhone gaming in this holiday and recently I've spent some time with a new SHMUP from Gamelab Innovation Center entitled Roswell Fighter. Roswell Fighter is a top down, vertical scrolling shooter that has players piloting a bi-plane against endless droves of alien invaders in the 1950s. Let's take a closer look...
