Halo fans or anyone looking into finding out more about the Halo universe should give Halo Legends a serious look. The animated feature runs about two hours and is comprised of seven different tales from within Bungie's epic sci-fi universe. Even better is the variety and quality of animation; let's take a closer look.
This weekend, despite having several a variety of enticing gaming options to choose from, I ended up spending most of my time on the iPhone. I didn't expect to, but I wound up sinking eight or nine hours into a new one from Venan Arcade entitled Space Miner: Space Ore Bust. The game's got a lot more than a clever title; space shooter fans and those that like a funny story and a light, accessible b...[Read More]
Arnold Schwarzenegger was kicking a lot of ass in the late 80s. In 1987 alone he released two sci-fi classics -- Predator and The Running Man. Predator is certainly a better movie, but The Running Man is pretty darn cool in itself. Lions Gate just released the film on Blu-ray and they've done a nice job with it.
With the recent release of Universal Soldier: Regeneration, I made it point to go back and watch the original Universal Soldier and the lesser known sequel from 1999, Universal Soldier: The Return. Last week, the Blu-ray version of The Return came in for review, and I was faced with the uneasy task of revisiting this bad action sci-fi flick. While the film is awful, the presentation quality is pre...[Read More]
Vandal Hearts was first released on the Playstation in the mid 90s, and was well received. A sequel was made and enjoyed by many, but the series has been quiet until a prequel was just recently released on XBLA and the PSN. Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is a competent and traditional strategy RPG that should appease fans of the genre who aren't expecting anything more than a typical gameplay e...[Read More]

In 2007, Presenter Paul Murton and BBC Scotland put together a collection of twelve episodes, each about one of Scotland's historic Highland clans. In Clans of Scotland, Paul Murton takes an intimate look at the past, and present, of twelve clans. Later this month, BFS Entertainment is putting the entire documentary in a three disc ...[Read More]

In 2003, martial artist Tony Jaa starred in Ong-Bak, a film from Thailand that was well received in the US. A sequel was produced only recently, and both films came to Blu-ray this week.
Third person action gaming goes to hell this month with the release of Dante's Inferno. Developed by Visceral Games (creators of Dead Space and Dead Space: Extraction), and published by EA, Dante's Inferno takes players through hell based on the events in The Divine Comedy. This game has looked solid ever since I first saw it in person at E3, and now having completed it, I'm still under that impre...[Read More]

Gentlemen! Let us broaden our horizons! - The Joker from Batman (1989) ... seriously though, this sounds interesting.
