Shaun of the Dead

This Edgar Wright-directed "zombie romantic comedy" has something for everyone, even someone who doesn't do horror or zombie movies. But don't count those elements out; they're present in spades!

State of Play

Not sure what to anticipate after hearing so much positive buzz about State of Play, I was satisfied with the movie's delivery of an entertaining story with a few pleasant surprises along the way. A definite watch if you enjoy this genre and want to see decent acting and a sadly (mostly) believable story.

The Inside Man

This stereotypical heist thriller is too predictably blasé and contains some rather significant plot holes.

Seabiscuit

The 'Feel-Good-Movie-of-2003' brings horse racing to life in an epic masterpiece that's as much a sports movie as it is an artfully-crafted period piece.

Doubt

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

The Tudors Season 2

The Duchess

Real life is usually messier and less exciting than fiction, and this portrait of the famous Duchess of Devonshire supports that theory. Beautiful in many ways, The Duchess is an interesting, but not riveting, historical drama.

Sunset Boulevard

Worth the watch, especially if you love film.

Penelope

Another romantic comedy that follows a fully predictable plot. Given the normally more independent tastes of its stars, I was surprised at how mainstream the movie really was. If you love this genre, you'll probably enjoy the movie. Otherwise....
