A classic love tale, Lady and the Tramp is just as entertaining today as it was when I watched it as a child. Filled with mesmerizingly drawn backgrounds and superb voice acting, this movie could be shown to kids today and it will still hold up. This movie looks amazing in Blu-Ray. It truly took me back to my childhood and with the animation being remastered I wasn’t disappointed by imagining the animation being as good as I remembered. The animation was vibrant and crisp. Overall, this is a great purchase whether you’ve seen the movie before or not.

Lady and the Tramp is a love story about two dogs from different sides of the track. Lady, a well to do rich girl and Tramp, a stray mutt who has to connive his way to get something to eat. This story is wonderful and provides a heartwarming message of love can happen between anyone know matter where they came from.

Lady and the Tramp has been redone in 1080p HD quality and it shows. Every scene was pretty to look at. Lady and the Tramp was the first film to be filmed using the CinemaScope widescreen lens.This initially required extra work when planning scenes and more action was needed in order to fill the screen. The widescreen stills looks very clean. The animation was such quality that it helped you get more invested into the story line. Character animation were smooth and fluid. The sound was DTS-HD High Res Audio. Each character spoke legibly and clear. No issues with the audio.

The Signature Collection version of this film comes with a DVD, Digital, and Blu-ray copy. The Blu-Ray has three ways to watch the movie. These are: a Sing-Along version, Inside Walt’s Story Meetings, and the Original Theatrical version. The Inside Walt’s Story Meetings is especially interesting to watch. Actors read actual transcripts between the animation team and Walt while they were making the scenes for the movie. This really adds a new perspective and shines light on Walt Disney’s creative process.
