Hey folks – we were fortunate to get a sneak peek at Enchanted Wilds. No hands-on Chumps Preview coverage to share at this time, but I’m personally excited to see this set hit players’ devices later this summer! The pivot to Unreal Engine has the potential for some gorgeous games of TFT. Also…as an Ivern main, I am elated to see the Green Father get an opportunity to be a 5-cost! Hopefully he gets chibified in the future (along with some cosmetics that align with this delightfully enchanted woodland thematic)! Check out the news and deets from Riot Games below~
LOS ANGELES (July 12, 2026) – Set in a mystical forest teeming with ancient magic, colossal creatures, and whimsical spirits, Teamfight Tactics’ next set, Enchanted Wilds, invites players to carve their own path through a vibrant ecosystem of new traits, champions, mechanics, and strategies.
In the recently published TFT Dev Drop video, Riot Games unveiled the mystical new set inspired by magical forests, fairy tales, and wondrous jungle creatures. The showcase highlighted the new mechanic called Wisps, a host of new Origins, and a look at some of the Legendary champions that bring the vibrant world of the Wilds to life.
Enchanted Wilds is set to hit PBE on July 28!
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming set:
Set Mechanic: Wisps
- At the heart of Enchanted Wilds are Wisps, magical denizens that appear in players’ shops as temporary, single-use sources of power. Inspired by the beloved Charms mechanic from Magic N’ Mayhem, Wisps offer strategic choices through combat boosts, economic rewards, experience gains, and high-risk, high-reward deals.
- Players can purchase one Wisp per round, with stronger Wisps appearing as the game progresses.
- Our evolution from Charms to Wisps brings notable tweaks to the mechanic, such as improved clarity, expanded variety, upgraded visuals, and new progression systems that deepen the mechanic throughout a match.
- Wisps are also lovable, magical denizens of the Enchanted Wilds. Each one you buy will dash, hop, swim, or fly across your screen with original art.
Traits & Origins
Enchanted Wilds introduces a diverse cast of champions and traits designed to encourage experimentation and creative team compositions.
- Riftbeasts: One of the set’s marquee vertical traits, Riftbeasts bring iconic League of Legends jungle monsters into TFT. Players can strengthen individual beasts with the Alpha Mark system, granting buffs like League’s iconic Red and Blue, while adding in new TFT-specific ones such as Purple for Gromp’s adaptive poison and Orange for Raptor’s armor reduction. At higher breakpoints, players can assemble a full stampede as they start appearing in the shop. At the trait’s highest levels, players can recruit the mighty Elder Dragon, a two-slot powerhouse that unlocks powerful late-game possibilities.
- Elderwood: Elderwood is another big vertical that features unique placeable forest plants that reward players with defensive utility, ally empowerment, and even additional frontline support. Designed to pair naturally with many secondary traits, Elderwood serves as a versatile foundation for a wide range of compositions.
- Sunbeam, Moonbeam, and Eclipse: A unique set of traits which can be combined to reveal a hidden trait!
- Sunbeam: Activating this trait empowers your board with shields and bonus magic damage, which gets stronger with additional 3-star units.
- Moonbeam: This trait grants Moonbeam champions and adjacent allies bonus attack speed and magic damage.
- Players who combine both Sunbeam and Moonbeam traits can unlock the secret Eclipse trait which will execute the lowest health enemy unit every few seconds after the Sun and Moon overlap in combat.
- Blossom: For players who want to fully embrace the new mechanic, the Blossom trait unlocks upgraded versions of every Wisp, increasing their power and utility while offering additional ways to interact with them as the trait scales.
Champions
The set’s Legendary champions further immerse players into the whimsical setting of the Enchanted Wilds.
- Draven arrives with a unique bounty system that generates personal objectives throughout a match. Completing these mini-quests rewards players with bonuses ranging from minor economy boosts to more powerful rewards.
- Ivern introduces an entirely new board-building experience through his exclusive Greenfather As Ivern casts, he plants seeds that gradually transform the battlefield into a unique biome. Players can cultivate forests, bogs, canyons, or waterfalls, each providing different bonuses to units standing on their hexes. Each hex will empower units on them in different ways, and, if you complete the biome, the last hex seeded will always be the God-Willow.
- Lux returns from Set 2 as a flexible Legendary champion that can appear alongside many of this set’s Origins. When purchased, Lux counts twice toward her chosen Origin and cannot appear as that Origin for other players for the remainder of the game, unless it is sold.
New Set Highlights:
- The Return of Carousel: Carousel returns to Enchanted Wilds, bringing back item and champion drafting possibilities for each stage.
- Greater Team-Building Freedom: Enchanted Wilds promotes flexibility with lower trait breakpoints, making it easier to mix and match synergies. But it also brings epic verticals to life, each playing off a distinct part of our forested set, from the living trees of the Elderwood, to the Riftbeasts—previously PvE enemies from League of Legends. Combined with Wisps, splashable champions, hidden traits, and versatile Legendaries, the set offers a wide range of strategic options for both competitive and casual play.

Quote from Matthew “Wittrock” Wittrock, Set Design Lead:
- “Enchanted Wilds is a set focused on flexibility and exploration. We wanted to build a world where every game feels like a new path through a magical forest, whether you’re commanding a stampede of Riftbeasts, cultivating a living biome with Ivern, or discovering the hidden trait, Eclipse. With Wisps bringing new life to a familiar mechanic, Enchanted Wilds gives plenty of ways for players to shape their journey.”
Quote from Sam Judd, Set Mechanic Lead
- “It’s been five sets since fan-favorite mechanic, Charms, has been in TFT, and we’re thrilled to bring them back with a few upgrades as Wisps. Wisps have a total visual overhaul with adorable forest denizens, UI improvements for buying them on the fly, and gameplay quality of life adjustments making them more charming, and more fun than ever before!”
