Riftbound Launches in French and Expands Organized Play

Bienvenue to the Rift! Today, Riot Games marks two milestones for Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game:

• The launch of Riftbound: Origins in French
• Introducing two new competitive programs to expand the Riftbound Organized Play program globally

To celebrate the Origins French localization launch and support the French-speaking community, Riot and UVS Games shared a dedicated calendar of events for France, from Japan Expo in July to Paris Games Week in October. French Riftbound for Spiritforged, Unleashed, and Vendetta will roll out throughout 2026, achieving full language parity with Riftbound: Radiance when the set launches on October 23, 2026.

In addition, Riot is expanding the Riftbound Organized Play program with two new competitive programs:

• Riftbound Showdown Series: Officially sanctioned tournaments run by partnered organizers across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions. Events are designed for hundreds of players, creating a new path to Regional Championship qualification alongside the existing Regional Qualifier structure. Top finishers earn Regional Championship invites and Regional Qualifier competitor passes. The first event takes place July 4 in Fort Worth, TX, with additional events scheduled through October. • Le Rift Tour: A national competitive circuit built for French players, running Store Qualifiers and Division Qualifiers through the summer before culminating in a live Final Stage at Paris Games Week in October.
