SHANGHAI – February 5, 2026 – Astrolabe Games today announced the release of a brand-new story trailer for BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X, the upcoming action roguelike title published by Astrolabe Games and developed by 91Act.
In BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X, numerous iconic characters from the BlazBlue series return in a different way with their original voice actors reprising their roles. Licensed by Arc System Works, the game features an all-new original storyline created by the original scenario writers that introduces five brand new characters, each brought to life by returning fan-favourite voice actors.
With thousands of freshly recorded lines of dialogue, the story draws players into the mysterious Sea of Possibility, inviting them to embark on a completely new adventure in a desperate fight to save the world – just ahead of the game’s official launch.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is set to launch on February 12, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S.

Mercurius (Dr. Mercurius)
Voice Actor: Chie Matsuura
The leader of the DBS Project and head of the laboratory.
Always appears in public wearing a cat-shaped mask. Speaks in a calm tone, making it difficult for anyone to discern their true thoughts.
Ti (Dr. T)
Voice Actor: Kenji Nomura
Specialized in physics, he is responsible for research on Mind Strength and Mind Crystals, as well as for maintaining and operating the DBS hardware systems. A serious and reliable individual who holds deep respect for Dr. Mercurius.
Lime (Dr. L)
Voice Actor: Chiaki Takahashi
Specialized in psychology, she is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of each researcher (buff/debuff) and managing the lab’s resources (shop). Gentle and compassionate, she cares deeply for all her colleagues and often looks after them.
Fox (Dr. F)
Voice Actor: Saki Fujita
Responsible for researching the Sea of Possibility itself and conducting its environmental simulations (Extra Training Ver.α / Ver.β). Usually quiet and reserved, but shows remarkable persistence when it comes to important matters.
Cafe (Dr. C)
Voice Actor: Takashi Hikida
Specialized in computer science, he is primarily responsible for data analysis (Tactic Tree), crunching numbers, and babysitting the DBS software. Although he appears rather easygoing, he is exceptionally passionate about research.

Story
At a mysterious domain, known as “the Lab”, a group of elite researchers race to save a collapsing world; however, despite their efforts to date, Dr. Mercurius, head of the laboratory, still warns the world’s downfall is near.
In a last-ditch effort, the urgent Research of Possibility initiative seeks to collect Shards of Possibility – a special fragment of the world that could forestall the seemingly inevitable destruction. These shards lie within the Sea of Possibility, a realm between worlds, beyond the bounds of reality. The protagonist, Ace, is the only being capable of diving into this sea. Guided by the elite researchers at the Lab, Ace descends again and again in pursuit of salvation—until strange visions take hold and his body begins to change.
