Now that RIFTBOUND is out, we have our first details of Spiritforged! Big news from the Riot crew, huh? Check out the first look and some additional details below!
Riot Games released a first look at Riftbound’s next set, Spiritforged.
The Rift is a place where weapons aren’t just tools; they’re extensions of your might and soul. Riftbound: Spiritforged is bringing not just new tools, but brand new ways to play Riftbound in English on February 13, 2026.
Spiritforged will build upon Origins in every way, starting with three new mechanics:
- Equipment: This new card subtype is the main new mechanic in Spiritforged. Equipment can be attached to units to make them stronger, and they remain in play even if that unit is killed.
- Gold: Gold tokens are featured by Draven. You can “spend” them to get the Power resource, which is a required cost to play some cards.
- Repeat: Spells with effects that can be doubled if you pay their cost a second time.
The Ionia Spirit Blossom has lifted the veil between the mortal and spirit realms and made its home in 12 new Spirit Blossom-themed Overnumbered cards. Get ready to put your wit, might, and soul to the test with Spiritforged, and try not to invoke Rule 650 (but we won’t blame you if you do.)
