Redwood City, Calif. – November 17, 2021 – Codemasters® and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today revealed new in-game items designed by McLaren Formula 1® driver, Daniel Ricciardo, for F1® 2021’s My Team and online modes. In the latest episode of After the Apex, Daniel takes on the role of a Creative Director, designing an exclusive race suit, helmet and car livery available in-game from today.

Featuring in the Podium Pass* free tier, all F1® 2021 players can unlock the content through XP by playing various game modes and challenges. Williams’ George Russell has also designed a set of in-game items for Series 3’s 30 tiers of additional content.

“We thoroughly enjoyed working with Daniel and watching his creativity come to life,” said Paul Jeal, F1® Senior Franchise Director at Codemasters. “Our players will also be able to unlock items designed by George Russell from today, and I’m sure there will be a race to show them off online.”

F1® 2021, the official game of the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™, boasts several new features, including the thrilling new story mode, ‘Braking Point’, an expanded Career mode enabling two players to come together and race, and Real-Season Start with the option to jump into the championship at any point that has already occurred, adopting the real-time driver and constructor standings.
