Alpha Betas Is Out Now

Westworld Meets Rick & Morty in a new comedy from Star Burns Studios! Check out the details below.

Gamers unite — Alpha Betas is out now! 3BLACKDOT just released the pilot episode for the highly anticipated new show, starring some of YouTube’s biggest gaming personalities, VanossGaming (Evan Fong), BasicallyIDoWrk (Marcel Cunningham), I AM WILDCAT (Tyler Wine), and Terroriser (Brian Hanby). The pilot episode is available to watch now on VanossGaming’s YouTube channel and was viewed 2 million times in the first 24 hours!

In Alpha Betas, video games are powering the world thanks to a massive, top-secret CIA program. In the comedic style of Rick & Morty meets Westworld, the show follows Alpha Team, an elite virtual strike force of four top gamers as they drop into video games to fix potentially world-ending issues. These four willfully reckless and dangerously arrogant guys are the tip of a $500 billion US Government spear sent to be heroes in virtual realms.

In the pilot episode, we meet Alpha Team for the first time as they attempt to restore power to the Southwestern Sector of the national power grid, home to Area 51. To save the world from the ramifications of an alien outbreak they must embark on a Wild West adventure and infiltrate the code of the popular open-world game, Red Head Intervention. All the non-playable characters have disappeared from the game and outlaw, Two Buck Chuck, is nowhere to be found. It’s up to these four heroes to saddle up and sort it out.

The show is a collaboration between some of YouTube’s most popular creators, with more than 40 million subscribers across their channels, as well as production company 3BLACKDOT, award-winning animation studio STARBURNS INDUSTRIES (the studio behind Rick & Morty) and showrunners Chris Bruno & David Lee (Facebook’s Human Discoveries). In addition to Alpha Team, fans can hear the voice talents of Hollywood heavy hitters like Paget Brewster (Friends), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Chris Parnell (SNL), Brent Morin (Chelsea Lately), and John DiMaggio (Futurama).
