This is honestly so cool from a historical perspective.
Ahead of GTA Online’s biggest ever music update with The Cayo Perico Heist, NTS Radio and Rockstar Games come together for the first time to present “The Sound Of GTA: A Musical History,” a two-channel total takeover of the NTS airwaves with 12 hours of non-stop radio celebrating the musical legacy of the Grand Theft Auto series from GTA III through to GTAV and GTA Online’s latest update, The Cayo Perico Heist.
Broadcast simultaneously on both NTS Channels 1 and 2 today, December 14th from 6pm – 12am GMT (1pm – 7pm ET, 10am – 4pm PT) , NTS Resident DJ’s will host brand new shows focused on the hottest songs from GTA’s history across a wide range of genres, including Hip-Hop, 80s Pop, Reggae/Dancehall and much more, with archives of each genre’s show available on the website following the event.
Contributing DJs include Delroy Edwards, Lorraine Petel, Bell Towers, Eclair Fifi, Martelo, Bennett, Lil C, DJ Persuasion, Zakia, Rachel Grace Almeida, Steven Julien and Organ Tapes.
And after the live broadcast, NTS will host a complete showcase of the event with the “GTA Infinite Mixtape,” available at https://www.nts.live/infinite-mixtapes.
Tune in live via https://www.nts.live/ or on the NTS App to take a trip through every era of GTA radio, then prepare for tomorrow’s launch of The Cayo Perico Heist featuring The Music Locker – a new underground dance club and social space with world class DJs Moodymann, Keinemusik and Palms Trax, plus new radio stations; Still Slipping Los Santos with Joy Orbison and KULT FM 99.1 with Julian Casablancas; plus updates to FlyLo FM from Flying Lotus, now featuring Tierra Whack, as well as Worldwide FM from Gilles Peterson in a massive 250+ song update to GTAV and GTA Online.
A big thanks to NTS Radio, which has redefined live online radio since 2011, giving artists a unique platform to connect with a global community eager to discover new music.
