Paris – October 8, 2020 French indie studio Ikimasho has announced that their VR debut title Star Shaman, a unique space adventure with touches of roguelite, will launch this month. The game will launch on Oculus Quest / Oculus Quest 2, Steam and Viveport and will be playable with all major PC headsets (Oculus Rift and Rift S, HTC Vive, and Cosmos, Valve Index). The game will be released at a $19,99, €19,99, £17,99 price point.
Star Shaman is an active VR title set in space where players travel galaxies as they take the role of shamans and fight to bring their surroundings back to life by regenerating entire solar systems. Stunning and colorful procedurally generated galaxies serve as background for their fight against the brutal Architects of Entropy. And tight combat encounters will have players preventing a final freeze of all existence in the universe. Star Shaman is a light-hearted yet thought-provoking game about restoring biodiversity that empowers the player both in and out of the virtual world.
The new mixed reality trailer shows the dynamic nature of Star Shaman and how real-world movement and in-game movement relate to each other. Ikimasho has worked with former Just Dance choreographer, Barbara Chane-Kane, to design a set of natural movements connecting players to their heroic quest of universe rescue.
