Skydance Interactive, a division of Skydance Media, continues to drive its support for the competitive gaming community in virtual reality with a collection of new tournaments for Archangel: Hellfire, the studio’s action-packed multiplayer mech VR game, taking place in the remainder of 2018 and beyond.
In conjunction with Virtual Athletics League (VAL), SpringboardVR and LIV, Skydance Interactive will bring Archangel: Hellfire to arcades across the country for the pilot season of a brand new arcade league sponsored by HP, Inc. and HTC esports.
Key dates for the AAHF Arcade Warfare League tournament are as follows:
October 11: Tournament begins at 16 arcades across the country
October 16: Elite 8
October 18: Final 4
October 20: Arcade Championship
The single elimination tournament will culminate at this year’s TwitchCon on October 27 in San Jose, CA. The two winners of the Arcade Championship will receive an HTC Vive Pro and all-expenses paid trip to the show to face off in an Archangel: Hellfire all-star matchup against the winners of Skydance Interactive’s MechAscent Tournament.
Players who are interested in participating in the VAL tournament can sign up on and get more information via the Virtualities Discord on www.valvr.com. With over a network of over 16 arcades, battlegrounds for the AAHF Arcade Warfare League can be found across North America including New York, California, Utah, Toronto, Calgary and more.
Skydance Interactive will also bring Archangel: Hellfire to the VR Master Ladder in partnership with OperaEvents and VR influencer DaKinMan. Tapping into an already robust VR community, the Archangel: Hellfire VR Master Ladder has just kicked-off as players climb into their virtual cockpits for a chance to win Intel Processors and more! The war against the competition will wage on until Sunday, December 2nd, culminating with Season Championship, December 9th.
