Final Fantasy Record Keeper collaborates with Octopath Traveler for event

Details below.

FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper (FFRK), the iOS and Android game app developed by DeNA in association with Square Enix, will be hosting a collaboration event with Octopath Traveler, the newest RPG from Square Enix, which shipped 1 million units globally including downloadable versions. The collaboration event begins on September 12 at 5 p.m. PST, and will run until 4:49 p.m. PST on September 26.

In the Octopath Traveler collaboration event Crossing Paths, two dungeons from Olberic’s and Primrose’s stories will be featured. Players will be able to defeat memorable enemies and bosses from Octopath Traveler using a party of their favorite FINAL FANTASY characters. When the event starts, so does the new login bonus, which will give out gifts like 3 Mythril, and a collab-exclusive 5★ relic, Olberic’s Sword. Players can also claim the collab-exclusive 5★ accessory Primrose’s Necklace as a dungeon reward. Additionally, when you clear Olberic’s dungeon, you’ll receive the Music Record OCTOPATH TRAVELER – Main Theme, which you can listen to in the Music Hall!

To celebrate the collaboration, a special web campaign, Community Quest: Record Traveler, has just started. Find FINAL FANTASY characters lost in the world of Octopath Traveler and you will receive points every time you find a character, and get a hint for finding the next one. In-game rewards such as Mythril and Souls of Heroes will be distributed based on the total points earned by the whole community, as well as the number of rare characters found, which will be added daily until the end of the campaign.

In the FFRK Producer Letter #2, FFRK producer Ichiro Hazama (SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.) and development producer Yu Sasaki (DeNA Co., Ltd.) invite Octopath Traveler producer Masashi Takahashi in to give the details of how the collaboration came about. All the latest news and event information will be revealed as well, so be sure to watch.
