Fwd: ROOSTER TEETH SEEKS YOUNG GAMERS TO TRAIN FOR THE ULTIMATE COMPETITION-BASED SERIES, SCHOOLED, AN AT&T HELLO LAB PROJECT

LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2016 – Pioneering digital entertainment company Rooster Teeth is on a search for kids to participate in a new gaming competition-based series, Schooled. Part of the year-long AT&T Hello Lab initiative, the series follows Rooster Teeth Co-Founder and series host Geoff Ramsey on a journey to recruit and train teams of aspiring gamers between the ages of 8-12 to face off against an experienced team from Rooster Teeth in a winner-take-all finale. In this case, “all” means that Geoff will get an image of Rooster Teeth star Gavin Free’s nose tattooed somewhere on his body should his team lose.

“We’re getting pretty old here at Rooster Teeth, so it’s time to start passing on our knowledge to a younger generation,” said Ramsey. “As a father and gamer, I’m excited to get the chance to work with these kids, and to make a show for everyone who is into gaming, including families. And hopefully my team beats the adults, because I’m not sure I want to live with Gavin’s nose on my body for the rest of my life.”

Ramsey put the call out for competitors in a new video. He’s looking for kids who he can teach to become champions or, at the very least, defeat Achievement Hunter. The competitors will train at a Rooster Teeth bunker, take on fun challenges, meet Rooster Teeth personalities, participate in gaming sessions with fans, and learn from expert players.

Parents of kids ages 8-12 who want to join in this epic adventure are asked to send in video submissions stating why their aspiring gamer would be good for the team. Video submissions can be sent to Schooled@RoosterTeeth.com.

Schooled is part of AT&T Hello Lab — a breakthrough program from AT&T that features 10 digital creators at the forefront of mobile entertainment and empowers them to engage more deeply with their audience. AT&T Hello Lab has already debuted four series since announcing the project this year.
