Super Evil Megacorp, makers of Vainglory, the world’s leading touchscreen esport, in partnership with Twitch, the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers, is bringing its Spring Season Championship events to Hollywood, California and Berlin, Germany this June. The live events will take place at Hollywood’s legendary Avalon from June 3-5 and Berlin’s Admiralspalast from June 10-12. Super Evil Megacorp recently announced a multi-million dollar partnership with Twitch to expand Vainglory’s esports structure with these Spring events marking the start of this joint endeavor. The Spring Season Championships will be broadcast exclusively on Twitch and executed in partnership with Twitch’s new dedicated Vainglory esports team.
The Spring Season Championships promises more nail-biting action than ever before, with North American champion Team SoloMid defending their current Championship title against Hammers esports, Nemesis Hydra, Noble esports and other elite newcomers. In addition, two-time European champs Team Secret attempt to hold onto the title against longtime rivals and new rising stars including G2 Esports, SK Gaming and mousesports, among others.
Between Vainglory’s Autumn and Winter Season Championships that took place in December and March, respectively, viewership grew threefold, with more than 1.5 million views on Twitch alone.
