SAN FRANCISCO — April 13, 2016 — Today, Ubisoft®, together with Xbox and ESL, the world’s largest eSports company, announced Season Two of the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Pro League global competition program starting on May 30 for Xbox One and June 2 for Windows PC. This second season will offer all Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege players the chance to compete with their team against the most seasoned players to win a share of the $150,000 total prize pool.

Before Season Two starts, the top placing teams in Europe and North America from Season One will compete head-to-head against one another for the title of Season One champions with $50,000 in prize money on the line for both the Xbox One and PC finals. The Season One finals for Xbox One will take place on April 22 at PAX East in the ESL booth, and the PC finals on May 7 at ESL’s studios in Cologne, Germany. Both events will be broadcast live on the Rainbow Six Twitch channel, twitch.tv/rainbow6.

From now until May 6, all Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege players can support Pro League teams in Season One by purchasing special edition themed weapon skins. Up to 30% of revenues generated by the purchase of these skins will be redistributed, in equal parts, directly to the Pro League teams themselves.

In addition, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege on Windows PC will be available to play for free this weekend. From April 14–17, anyone who does not own Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be able to play the full game for free on Steam or Uplay PC. During this time, players can purchase the game on Windows PC at the discounted rate of 40% off the Gold Edition and 33% off the Standard Edition. In-game progression will carry over from the free weekend trial if players choose to purchase the full game.
