Lego DC Superheroes: Justice League Cosmic Clash

Lego DC Superheroes: Justice League Cosmic Clash

Official Synopsis

Earth, a shiny jewel floating in the blackness of space…and for the robot known as Brainiac, the last piece to capture for his collection of planets. Not if the Justice League has anything to say about it! But when the methodical Brainiac zaps Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern to different places in time, the race is on for Batman and The Flash to reassemble the Justice League while Cyborg and Supergirl battle Brainiac’s drones back on Earth.

Lego never surprises me with it’s attention to detail to all of the franchises it tackles. While always in comedic fashion, it was great seeing bigger DC characters such as Brainiac introduced alongside with smaller ones such as Vandal Savage or Lightning Lad. Lego definitely knows what they’re doing when it comes to introducing these characters to a newer generation.

It’s always great having Troy Baker back to voice Batman, and Nolan North as Superman, as both have nailed the voices of their respective characters on the video game side. The animation quality of the entire feature is impeccable, as if it was a cutscene straight out of the Lego games. I never grew bored of the entire feature (I mean, we’re talking DC Superheroes here), and this mostly can be attributed to the length of the feature. While the feature is certainly targeted towards a younger audience, a 78 minute run-time is a perfect length of time so that the story never felt long-in-the-tooth.

There is only one special feature included with this release: “The Justice League: Caught on Camera”; a gag reel. It was a cute little short bit, but nothing substantial.
