Batman: Arkham Origins — Cold, Cold Heart

The story picks up in the days following the events at the conclusion of the Arkham Origins campaign.  A fancy soiree is being held at Wayne Manor to ring in the New Year when an uninvited guest crashes the party.  Mr. Freeze and crew literally kick the doors in, turning party guests into frozen statues.  And so the player begins to navigate the batsuit-less Bruce Wayne through the mayhem, carefully engaging thugs utilizing silent take-downs and all the other stealthy predator tactics veterans of the Arkham series know all too well.  You eventually guide Bruce to the bat cave where you suit up and set out to discover who this mysterious frozen party crasher is.

Along the way, you encounter some new thugs equipped with freeze rays.  But fortunately for you, there is also a new ‘extreme environment’ (XE) batsuit equipped with thermal counter measures to withstand their frigid assault.  Aside from these slight tweaks to the thugs and your batsuit, everything else feels largely the same.  Even the final clash with Mr. Freeze recycles the formula from the encounter in Arkham City.  Only this time, while you are working through the different ways of taking him down, thugs are summoned to his aid.
