Survival arenas are unlockable 20 rounds of unending horror which enable players to take on ever increasing waves of grotesque monsters in a test of endurance and strength.
Players start off with full health and an empty Necro Meter and must slay their way past each round, building their Necro Energy, purchasing Necro Moves, and relying on the Splatter Siphon healing ability. Alternate Masks give players opportunities to customize Rick’s appearance as they obliterate a path through massive legions of nightmarish creatures.
Splatterhouse follows college student Rick Taylor as he embarks on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, Jennifer, who has disappeared after entering a mysterious run-down Mansion inhabited by an elusive scientist, Dr. West.
Confronted by otherworldly horrific abominations under Dr. West’s control, Rick turns to a mystical sentient mask that promises to give him the power to reunite with his beloved Jennifer. Full of desperation, Rick dons the “Mayan Terror Mask” and is transformed into a raging juggernaut, unleashing unadulterated violence and destruction on anything that stands in his way.
Splatterhouse will be available throughout North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system November 23, 2010 with an ESRB rating of “M” for Mature and an MSRP of $59.99.
