Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform the award-winning VIDEO GAMES LIVE

In partnership with Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform the award-winning VIDEO GAMES LIVE – a multimedia concert featuring music from the most popular video games—in Conseco Fieldhouse on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the Symphony’s first performance in Conseco Fieldhouse.

VIDEO GAMES LIVE show combines exclusive video footage and music arrangements with synchronized lighting, solo performers, special FX, electronic percussionists and interactive segments.Audience members are invited to come up and compete while the Orchestra plays the music in synchronization with the visuals on screen. A pre-concert festival with game demonstrations and competition, costume contests and prizes and a post-show meet-and-greet is open to all ticketholders.

For 2010, VIDEO GAMES LIVE represents franchises including Mario™, Zelda®, Halo®, Final Fantasy®, Warcraft®, Sonic™, Metal Gear Solid®, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger™, Chrono Cross™, Myst®, Tron, Castlevania®, Medal of Honor™, God of War™, BioShock™, Civilization IV, Tomb Raider®, Harry Potter™, Beyond Good & Evil™, Advent Rising, EverQuest® II, Monkey Island, Earthworm Jim, Pac-Man, Conan, Headhunter, Splinter Cell®, Ghost Recon™, Rainbow Six®, Jade Empire, Metroid, Contra, Guitar Hero™ and a special Classic Arcade Medley featuring over 20+ games from Pong® to Donkey Kong® including such classics as Dragon’s Lair, Tetris, Frogger, Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Gauntlet, Space Invaders and Outrun.

VIDEO GAMES LIVE creator, composer and executive producer Tommy Tallarico is personally involved in every show. For the Indianapolis presentation, Emmanuel Fratianni will replace Jack Wall as conductor.

In 2010, VIDEO GAMES LIVE and PBS joined forces to create an exclusive nationwide PBS special based around the highly successful Video Games Live concert series. The program is scheduled to begin airing July 31.
