When in Rome
Beth (Kristen Bell) finds herself surrounded by unwanted love after plucking coins from the Fontana de Amore while having a love let down tantrum in Rome. Instantly a magical love bond is created between Beth and several unwanted suitors including Will Arnett, Jon Heder, Dax Shepard, and Danny Devito. Beth is led to believe Nick, a charming reported she has recently been smitten by, is amongst the 5 she has magically bewitched. Heartbroken once again Beth is on a mission to return their love and their coins to them, but one just may be her wish come true.
Love At First Sight?
I will stay it was a pretty cute and fairly funny romance, but nothing special rom-com wise. It wasnt spectacular by any means but it did have its moments. The cast was outstanding! Danny Devito, Jon Heder, Dax Shepard, Will Arnett! Those are some really funny guys. Josh Duhamel and Kristen Bell were pretty good as well. At times their chemistry was pretty good then others it was only mediocre. A good bit of the comedy felt a little forced. Every once in awhile I would find myself really laughing, my husband also found it fairly entertaining, so guys points there! I guess what Im saying is that it was alright, nothing fancy or hilarious just alright. It was nothing compared to The Proposal, the absolutely hilarious romance comedy Touchstone released last year.
It looked and sounded great! The picture was extremely clear and sharp. The sound was nice and clear with very crisp front and background sound. I was very pleased with the quality of this film. It makes for a great date night movie or funny chick flick night.
