G-Force
A highly trained group of government guinea pigs, known as G-Force, are put to the test when they are threatened to be shut down. Darwin (Sam Rockwell) and his team, Blaster (Tracy Morgan), Juarez (Penelope Cruz), and Hurley (Jon Favreau) must step up and prove their worth. All while trying to save the world from a mad appliance producing billionaire set on ruling the world. Along the way they must work together as a team to complete their mission and save all of mankind. Just as soon as they figure out how to get out of their cage…
G-Force was kind of a cute movie, but not one of Disney’s best. It was a very family friendly and will definitely appeal to a younger crowd. There were some impressive visual scenes, but not a film aimed toward and older audience. You may find your mind wondering at times. It just wasn’t overly stimulating, but like I said, younger children will find it very amusing. Unfortunately, they will be all too amused by the ongoing fart jokes.
I’m not saying it wasn’t a good kids film, but it just didn’t strike me as anything special. A few witty comments here and there make you laugh here and there, but the pace of the film and plot weren’t put together as well as it possibly could have been. The characters/ guinea pigs needed more of a storyline and depth. They just didn’t strike me as memorable or overly endearing. The villain of the film just didn’t have the whole evil thing working for him. There were a few entertaining scenes but overall it came up lacking in the funny bone region. The whole guinea pig secret agent things just didn’t really work out.
The film looked and sounded incredible! There is no argument in that department. The firework scene was phenomenal. It was by far the highlight of the film! In fact, that whole chase scene was fabulous. You couldn’t have asked for a better looking or sounding scene. The colors were extremely vibrant and eye catching. The picture as a whole was very precise and sharp. I just cant get over those fireworks! Neat stuff!
