Deja Vu?
Group of stupid young adults — stranded in a remote location — evil monsters move in for the kill. It’s an incredibly familiar theme in horror movies and that’s what we have here again with Wrong Turn 2. The ‘story’ casts six young adults in a bizarre reality TV show where show participants must survive in a simulated post-apocalyptic environment in West Virginia (also where the original Wrong Turn takes place). Of course, the participants encounter another family of hungry cannibals that out are to kill them.
Nothing about the actors, script, or story really stands out to impress.
On Blu-ray
Not surprisingly, this Blu-ray release feels slapped together in time for Halloween sales. The image quality is lackluster and dull, without any hint of pop; the DVD version probably looks as good or better to be frank about it. The lossless audio track is appreciated, but it’s not enough to make up for the poor video quality.
Extra features include:
-Audio Commentary by Director Joe Lynch and Actors Erica Leerhsen and Henry Rollins.
-Audio Commentary by Writers Turi Meyer and Al Septien.
-More Blood, More Guts: The Making of Wrong Turn 2 (SD, 9 minutes) – Cast and crew interviews and production footage.
-On Location with P-Nut (SD, 2 minutes) – Two minutes of production footage. Wow.
-Making Gore Look Good (SD, 11 minutes) – Production footage of stunts and cast and crew interviews.
