Normal, Everyday, Psychic Children
Tony and Tia Malone seem like your typical kids. Tony plays baseball, Tia likes riding horses. Oh, and they can both read minds, levitate, open locks, talk to animals and see the future. Pretty cool right?
Unfortunately its not all fun and games for Tony and Tia. Not knowing who they are or how they have come to possess such amazing gifts, the Malone children are placed into an orphanage after the unfortunate death of their foster parents.
Not long after, their special gifts get noticed by an evil millionaire named Aristotle Bold, who lures them to his mansion so that he can use their gifts to grow his wealth. Being the psychic kids they are, Tony and Tia catch wind of Bolt’s less than noble intentions and decide to flee.
The Escape!
The chase is on, as Tony and Tia are pursued by dogs, police, hunters, and the ever vigilent Mr. Bolt. Along the way, the kids befriend an old camper who helps them on their journey. They also have some help from the local wildlife, and their pet cat Winky.
As the adventure continues, Tia remembers more and more about their past. During their escape, with help from her brother Tony, Tia is able to piece together fragments of memories from long ago. With these memories, plus a secret map found in her “star case”, the kids head for Witch Mountain, on an adventure that is almost out of this world!
This classic movie is a long time favorite for many Disney fans. Released in 1975, Escape to Witch Mountain was an instant classic. With spacey special effects, and adventure around every corner, this film was so wildly popular that it inspired a sequel just three years later. Now there is third movie out in this long awaited franchise, released nearly 34 years to the date that the original came out.
