Last chance to relax

It’s been a long day of travelling (around 10 hours to be exact) and we can finally relax at the local Figueroa hotel in LA and get a great night’s rest to boot. Though we know the next 3 days are going to be a lot of work meeting with developers and trying out all the games, we know that there really is nothing better than E3. Currently my 4th year at the expo, I’ve seen the glory days when E3 was in full force (spanning circular HDTVs and all), as well as last year in the beautiful Santa Monica, when E3 consisted of no more than a few thousand media outlets (and one heck of a lot of travelling). I must say though, it feels good to be back in LA and I’m curious to see how things will turn out this time around.

As for hotel Figueroa, it’s certainly a nice hotel, with a nice, aged feel. The room is quite large compared to previous E3 hotels and the service is extremely punctual. However, we aren’t “supposed” to bring food upstairs (despite there being refrigerators in the room) and half of the electrical outlets are broken. Oh, and I was just notified by Steve that the showerhead is broken, requiring the avid showerer to hold the head while rinsing…looks to be quite the interesting week…
