secret past. Renny Jacobson’s father has passed away, but when he
finds out his father left him practically nothing, his search for
answers leads him to places he could never imagine. He travels to get a signature of what he thinks will give him his rightful inheritance. On the way he runs into a beautiful girl named Joe he had seen earlier when his father had passed. The two see that both their paths have crossed, but are leading them in the same direction. Renny likes her and offers to take her with him because of some problems with her vehicle. The two share a strange similarity, their father’s have both passed away.
As they arrive they meet each man on Renny’s father’s list. Each seem very nice and have their own unique personalities. They seem to be your average run of the mill men’s group or club, but all is not as it seems. They want Renny to become a part of their secret society, founded long ago during the American Civil War. Renny is adamant about getting his father’s inheritance and will do almost anything, including signing The List. Joe on the other hand just wants to find out about who her father was. She grew up not knowing her father because he left her before she was born. Together their motives drive them to understand more about this secret group, and what part their father’s played in it.
No matter how blind Renny seems to the danger he could be in, he gets deeper and deeper into the dark corners of the society. As Joe gets in trouble and things turn for the worst, friends of Renny all begin praying for her and Renny. The story turns to the battles in the spiritual realm and the power of prayer. Renny is thrown into a game of lies, deception, and spiritual warfare as he tries to work with other members of the society to restore order. The conflict of darkness and light is lived out through Renny’s life as he finds himself the target for the society’s next leader or victim.

Overall
The film starts off great with a good story set in the past that leadsinto a small town in present day South Carolina. The characters eachhave what sound to be legitimate southern accents and goodpersonalities. At the same time, the movie tends to become somewhatstagnant in the middle with little to add to the overall story. Partsof the story’s religious message seems a bit tacked on, but it getsbetter as the movie moves along. As the movie wraps up, things come toa good climax as the tension builds. The film does a very nice job ofbuilding this tension and developing the mystery to the story. Theactors compliment one another nicely, each having a nice screen presence and good chemistry. Overall, Ienjoyed the film quite a bit, and it definitely exceeded myexpectations.
