Keep the kids up and let them enjoy the horror that should be The Uninvited. It looked scary, yet confusing. We can't wait to tell you whether it's scary good or horrifingly bad. Here are the details:

I'm one to harp on news, but it looks like the devastator has been revealed for the new Transformers film. Surprisingly, it looks nothing like the original Devastator.
Yes, I would have preferred green.

In 1980, Sean S. Cunningham directed what would become a cult phenomenon and spawn nearly a dozen sequels when he brought us Friday the 13th. Director Michael Bay is set to release his remake of the original hit film in theaters this Friday, and in preparation of that, Paramount has re-released the first three Friday films on DVD.

As we draw nearer to Friday the 13th this week, and the release of Michael Bay's remake of the original from 1980, Paramount has re-released the first three films on DVD. Earlier I reviewed the Uncut version of the original, now let's exam the sequel that came out a short year later.

Friday the 13th Part 3-D has been re-released on DVD by Paramount this month along with the first two parts in anticipation for the new Friday film coming out this, well, Friday the 13th. This third Friday the 13th film was unique in that there was an optional 3D version that viewers could partake in with a pair of 3D glasses. This new DVD release includes not only the standard 2D and 3D versions of the film, but two pairs of 3D glasses as well.

Normally, we would review DVDs individually, but this is a doozy of a set. They are sold separately, but they do belong with each other as great reminders of how good the 80's could be.

Remember the student council or student government association from high school or even college? For many of us we loathed the yearly campaigns and ads, but probably as many others enjoyed the fiasco. A 1999 film from Paramount highlights a lot of the nuances of these elections in a film that starred Matthew Broderick, Reese Witherspoon, and Chris Klein, appropriately named Election. Election arrived on Blu-ray just last week, and while the film has its merits, the near complete lack of extras is disappointing.

Without a Paddle: Nature’s Calling is a direct to video (or, in this case, Blu-Ray) release that bears only slight resemblance to the original Without a Paddle. Different cast, much lower stakes story. The only real similarities are that it’s got three guys out in the woods and rafting down a river, and two girls living in a tree house.

In 2007, director David Fincher (Panic Room, Se7en, Fight Club) released a captivating crime thriller based on actual events: Zodiac. The very well received film is coming to Blu-ray this month in a two disc director's cut release and it's definitely something to get excited about.

Classic film star Audrey Hepburn was the lead role in another of her timeless films, Breakfast At Tiffany's, in 1961. Co-starring in this dramatic romance with bouts of comedy was George Peppard. Together Hepburn and Peppard created one of the best films in its genre, and one that Paramount is re-releasing on DVD this week in its Centennial Collection series.
