Never annoy a goat. Those things get angry. They’ll terrorize your entire town, destroy all of your furniture, and blow up your car. Then they’ll stick their tongue to you and drag you around town while screaming like a demon.

Things are about to get crazy, really crazy!  From Deep Silver and Volition comes the fourth trip into the insane world of the Saints.  If being President, fighting aliens, and having super powers piques interest, you're in for one blisteringly over-the-top ride.  Although all of these abilities may be just a little too much, and detract from a very well designed and constructed action game.

Radical's sequel to their 2009 sandbox romp is an improvement, but it's still very repetitive and difficult to become invested in.

Three guns up for the third time!  This release by THQ and Volition is the third installment of the sandbox series that glorifies all things over-the-top.  And it's this completely "zanny" approach that intensifies the awesome parts of the series, which helps to make this the best Saints yet.

Is it reasonable to think that the Wii is entering its final holiday season this year? With the Wii U announced for 2012, and the forecast for upcoming titles, especially exclusives, looking bleak, it may be time to start thinking about that 'best games on the Wii' list. If I were a betting man, I would think that Konami's No More Heroes, released in 2007, would make that list, but frankly I never got around to playing it.Fast forward about four years, and Konami has just re-released No More Heroes, with No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. This version of the game includes the original No More Heroes game, as well as PS Move and SIXAXIS/DS3 motion support, HD-ified visuals, some of the boss fights from No More Heroes 2, online leaderboard support, and a 'boss rush' mode. While it certainly has its flaws -- some caused by the port itself, and others that carried over from the original game -- No More Heroes still has a certain appeal to it that makes it well worth checking out.

Yesterday I whipped up some impressions based off of a dozen hours of time spent in New Marais, the coastal town at the center of inFamous 2 which released yesterday. For those of you who aren't familiar with the inFamous series, it's a third person, open world action game with a karma system created by Sucker Punch. You are Cole McGrath, a seemingly ordinary human who discovers supernatural powers based on electricity after a catastrophic event that occurs in Empire City, the setting of the first game. inFamous 2, in proper sequel fashion, picks up immediately where inFamous ends. I'll do my best not to drop too many spoilers for those that might not have played through inFamous yet. It's worth noting that inFamous 2 will grant you certain bonuses for having an inFamous savegame file with various milestones. These bonuses include 1000 extra XP and additional battery cores amongst a few other things...anyway, without further ado, let's dig into inFamous 2 (inF2)!

iPhone/iPad

Way back in March of 2009, Steve Schardein took Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for a spin on its native platform, the Nintendo DS. Later that year in October, Eric did the same on the PSP. Since that time, the game has been ported to the iPhone, and now as of last week, the iPad. Granted, either Steve or Eric would have been better suited to review this than me, but, due to travel and lack of multiple iPads -- well, you get the point. So this newest iteration of Chinatown Wars offers spruced up visuals, multiple control layouts, and it makes great use of the gorgeous iPad screen. While that may already be enough for some, if you're looking for significant changes or addition to the gameplay, you won't find them in this iPad version. But, if you're looking for one of the best iPad games available, you should strongly consider this release from Rockstar Leeds.

One of my favorites of 2007 was Crackdown from Ruffian and Microsoft. In this futuristic sandbox game, gamers got to play as one of the elite members of The Agency. As an agent, you and up to one co-op buddy had to save Pacific City from the grips of four gangs that were spread out across islands within the city. Utilizing plenty of firepower, vehicles, and super human strength and agility made all this possible, and darn fun in the process. This Tuesday (tomorrow), the sequel arrives. The core gameplay remains largely the same, with some significant differences. Can Crackdown 2 prove to be as addictive and fun as its predecessor? In a word, yes. In two words, hell yes.
