If this doesn't make you wish arcades were still around then I'm not sure if you're an 'actual' gamer.

So many suits and pilots, so little variety.  This title from publisher Namco Bandai and developer Koei is the third installment that combines the hack and slash Dynasty Warriors franchise with the long running saga of Gundam anime meta-series.  And with the plethora of unlockables and customization options, the product is held down by repetitive "tap friendly" gameplay.

It's one thing to remix and recreate something new from any old classic. It's quite another to try something different with one of the best arcade games of all time, Galaga. Did Namco Bandai treat it well or did they take the name and create a monster? Come find out...

I've heard it called one of the greatest games never played. I too was one of those that never got around to playing it, but Ubisoft's 2003 adventure-action classic, Beyond Good And Evil, is giving everyone a second chance with an HD version that is available since March on XBLA and just last week on PSN. The 1.5GB download contains the full game that sees Jade, a photo-journalist and martial artist, and her allies, unravel a massive conspiracy on their home planet. The HD revamp touches up the character models, increases the res of the textures, adds Trophies/Achievements, and offers a tuned up soundtrack. If you missed this game the first time around like I did, do yourself a favor and jump on it before this year's holiday rush starts.

Let me start out by saying that Transformers: Dark of the Moon isn't going to out perform Portal 2, Skyrim or any other big name titles coming out this year. It's bringing nothing new to the action genre that we haven't seen before in a game of this type. It has basic character configuration, linear storytelling and once in awhile decides to give you a bit of repetitiveness in the gameplay. With all that said, the game actually isn't half bad.

Synopsis:Ten years after being released from Rutledge Asylum, Alice is a poor orphan working at the Houndsditch Home orphanage. Still deeply troubled and wracked by survivor’s guilt, Alice’s hallucinations of Wonderland begin to return mysteriously. Over the course of the game, Alice will travel back and forth between her miserable, impoverished life in Victorian London and the emotional refuge inside her head- Wonderland. With each visit, Alice is able to uncover clues – suppressed memories – that offer a glimpse of the truth about the mysterious fire that killed her whole family so many years ago. As she descends deeper into madness, Wonderland mirrors her mental state and becomes more twisted, decayed, and dangerous for her. Fortunately for Alice, inside Wonderland she becomes an idealized version of herself – able to glide vast distances, shrink at will, and fight her mental enemies with a vicious arsenal.

L.A. Noire is the story of Cole Phelps, a decorated World War II veteran and newly minted detective in the LAPD. You play as Phelps as he rises through the ranks of the LAPD, taking on an escalating series of cases and investigations inspired by real-world crimes that occurred in LA during the late 1940s.

There's nothing quite like a good top-down shooter to get the blood pumping.

In the past I have shied away from LEGO based games. The last one I played, LEGO Harry Potter, simply bored the tears out of me with its repetitive nature and lackluster gameplay. To be fair, my kids didn't enjoy it very much either (don't worry, they're not as jaded as their father). With that said, when we got in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for review I was less than enthusiastic about what could potentially be a repeat performance of my previous LEGO experience. On top of this, it was mighty suspicious the timing of this game's release with the upcoming release of the fourth film. All of this combined would possibly equal out to be a horrid LEGO experience, right? Wrong.

Bethesda Softworks, who is generally known for hits like the Elder Scrolls series and Fallout 3, has decided to dive into an area they aren’t exactly familiar with, which would be the first-person shooter genre. Led by the Killzone, Call of Duty, Halo and Medal of Honor’s of the world, getting into the FPS genre isn’t exactly the easiest of feats. Need an example? Just ask the folks at Zipper how MAG worked out for them. Sometimes just bringing the goods doesn’t guarantee the audience will buy the goods.

Brink is a title that has been widely publicized since last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Half campaign and half online, Brink promised to deliver a rich first-person shooting experience that would excite and entice gamers. The question is, did they do it or did it end up another MAG?
