Just think, 10 years ago the PlayStation 2 was just five years old. That’s insane considering it was two generations ago. Anyway, Legend of Kay is celebrating its 10th anniversary since its original arrival onto the PS2 in 2005, and Nordic Games has taken the reigns to try to make it a worth anniversary celebration.

Abyss Odyssey is an impressive experiment with questionable practicality. From a Chilean team with a passion for surreal adventure, it hits expected marks. As a roguelike-platformer with a fondness for fighting game mechanics, it's susceptible to chaos.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos aims to be a garish, hyper-sensory accelerant of calculated brawling and provocative identity. It hits some of its marks—a generous frame-rate and a firm commitment to kitsch melodrama among them—but it's closer to the edges boredom and mediocrity. For a game meant to elicit a range of responses, all that it leaves the player is trite indifference.

As a successor to an admired name from a bygone era, Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess falls short of accrued expectations. As a means of introducing a different style of game to a different time and place, Deception IV is an exemplar of viable defiance against rote standards.

If this is Rocksteady’s last Batman game, it’s a helluva way to go out.

Everything is special and remade nowadays to show off the prettiness that this generation is bringing to the table. Mostly that’s all you get with the repackaged games. Thankfully, Capcom is not only remaking their fast, furious and fun DMC, but they’re also changing it up a bit with new characters to play, improved gameplay and upgraded visuals.

The Executioner is the last DLC for Bethesda's The Evil Within, and it's actually quite a bit different than what we've experienced so far. Let's have a closer look.

Lost Orbit is tough but fair, and offers a nice twist to a typical shoot'em up experience -- and by that I mean you don't shoot anything. Say what?

Functionally outpaced by its more recent peers, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim enjoys its space as an anachronism.

Westerado: Double Barreled not only tips its hat to a requisite cache of genre hallmarks, it makes room for meaningful of agency between them.

Nothing like fighting some zombies and taking a break to fish. Hey, Walking Dead writers, incorporate that into a spin-off.   “Fishing for Zombie Fish — ONLY ON ESPN 9” It could work.

Whatever criticism I've prepared to levy against Grand Theft Auto V inevitably wilts under the depth and breadth of its content. It was tough to fault its 2013 launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, more difficult to challenge its 2014 debut on their respective successors, and now all but impossible to contest its 2015 graduation to the PC. GTA V and the wealth of assets it claims have, quite literally, never been better.

Slow Down, Bull explores the aggressive relationship between creative inhibition and self-expression—and completely stresses the player out in the process.
