Acorn Media's brought the short-lived BBC Four series "Dirk Gently" stateside on DVD. Make yourself a cup of tea for this one.

Acorn Media is set to release the complete first series of a intriguing new mystery series faithfully based on the novels by Kerry Greenwood.

The popularity of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's British detective Sherlock Holmes has seen a strong renewed interest in the last few years thanks to Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of him and a successful new CBS drama. This week, Shout! brings us The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, a Holmes movie created in 1976, on Blu-ray/DVD Combo.

Whoa! The first six series of the U.K. classic will be available as a collection within two weeks. Details below.

Unlike Battleship, the movie Clue does a fine job with taking the basic formula of a board game, translating it successfully to film,  and putting together a charming mystery with an even more charming cast to support it.  So, you can understand why I was excited to hear that Paramount was finally bringing this great movie to Blu-ray. It certainly deserves the HD treatment. So, without further delay, let's get into it!

If the first Sherlock Holmes was about defining the characters, then the second would have to be defining relationships. And the introduction to a proper villain.

One of the finest movies to come out of the 80s. Knowing Paramount's track record for Blu-ray transfers gives me great confidence that this one is going to be done well. August can't get here fast enough. Official release details below: -----------

Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson), and his wife are attending a conference in Berlin. Before the two get settled into their hotel, he finds himself without his briefcase and passport. On his way back to the airport, Dr. Harris becomes involved in a terrible car accident. As he awakens in the hospital, he has no identification and little memory of the accident.
