Another Gundam game! WAIT! Another Dynasty Warriors game! WAIT! Hm. This is one of those ‘chocolate in my peanut butter’ sort of things. That turned out well, as did Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn.

Since my first glimpse of the WildStar I have been excited. Just the thought of a game that was so completely over-the-top and unabashed in its pursuit of awesome left me completely floored.

Ah, updates and remakes. Some work, some don’t. Thankfully, this one very much works.

Ultimate Fighting Championship has taken a long road when it comes to video games. Battling to convince the world in the late 2000s that UFC’s MMA style was a sport, they found a video game home with THQ. What came out of that home was nothing short of success. From 2009 - 2012, THQ sold millions of copies of UFC and it became a huge title for both entities. One entity was able to market itself to a demographic that could make it money, while the other found a title to help its company stay afloat (THQ).   Then THQ went the way of the Dodo bird. Electronic Arts swooped in and snagged the license, and this year will be the first UFC title produced by the video game giant. How did EA Sports and EA Canada do? Come see.

Live from current gen consoles, IIIIIIIITTT'S TIIIMMEE!  For the first time, EA Sports is releasing an mma game under the UFC banner, with a brand new fighting experience utilizing the company's Ignite Engine.  Insane graphical prowess and intricate systems is slightly hampered by an overly complicated striking control scheme.

Doing one particular thing well is difficult, and rare is the game that embraces a wealth of available resources and merges them into a symbiotic vision. Transistor, the next title from the folks who brought us Bastion, is one such game.

I found CyberConnect2's take on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure universe enjoyable and even a bit addictive, but it's not (intended) to be for everyone.

Of the many memorable boss fights in the Batman Arkham titles, the showdown with Mr. Freeze in Arkham City stood out to me as one of the most creative, engaging moments in the series.  So I was delighted to learn that the origin of Mr. Freeze would be the focus of this new campaign DLC appropriately titled, 'Cold, Cold Heart.'  However, I found that both the eventual confrontation with Mr. Freeze and the journey to reach it lacked the same creative touch from that first encounter in Arkham City.  Honestly, the gameplay here all feels uncomfortably familiar.

Armature Studios' handheld Arkham title is now available as a Deluxe Edition on a variety of platforms. Sporting enhanced graphics and other goodies, the 2.5D Arkham adventure makes a smooth transition.
