Spike TV is home to an entertaining and educational show known as The Deadliest Warrior. In each episode, two warrior classes are pitted against one another with a doctor, computer programmer, and a biomedical engineer gathering data and ultimately running a computer simulation to see which warrior is deadliest. I watched (okay, watch) a lot of cartoons, and one of my favorites would have to be the X-Men series from the 90s. In the last several months, four volumes of X-Men have released to the open arms of thousands of fans. Just yesterday, the fifth and final volume was released and it features fourteen episodes -- all of those from the final season and one episode that aired during season five, but chronologically fits in season three. from season three . While devoid of any extra features, for X-Men cartoon fans, this is a very tempting purchase. With any luck, we'll see a complete box set later this year.

The Iron Man franchise is thriving, decades after it was first introduced. Certainly the popular Hollywood film from 2008 had much to do with this, with the sequel now only days from release. Nicktoons' Iron Man: Armored Adventures is running strong, but did you know that there was an Iron Man cartoon in 1994? That entire twenty-six episode series is now available on DVD for cartoon and Iron Man fans to enjoy.

Is it fair to say that Stargate has become as big as Star Trek? Well, if you're looking solely at the number of TV series' and raw number of shows, then it's getting there. With the launch of Stargate: Universe last year, the Stargate franchise continues to expand and reach new audiences. Back in the summer of 2004, while SG-1 was still in its prime, Stargate: Atlantis launched and ran for five successful seasons. Now, all five seasons are available together for the first time on DVD in a special Complete Series Collection. There's little doubt that the show is great -- but will the high price, sketchy packaging, and lack of many new features keep fans from making the purchase?

Yo Joe! Shout! Factory is back with another GI Joe The Animated Series DVD release, and this time it's the complete Season 2. The first season of GI Joe is a tough act to follow, but Season 2 introduces plenty of new characters and adventures for the Joes, not the least of which is the mini-series that brought Serpentor into the fold.

Jimmy Kudo is just your average high-school detective: brilliant, popular, and on the fast track to success. Even the police department don’t hesitate to call him in on their toughest cases! However, when an attempt to thwart a crime (while on a date with his probably-sweetheart Rachel Moore) finds him at odds with a mysterious duo, they poison him to eliminate witnesses. Unfortunately, his body has shrunk to that of a grade-schooler, and he must conceal his identity to protect himself and those around him. Will the world’s greatest new detective be able to solve cases as child prodigy Conan Edogawa?

Death gazes on with silver eyes. Vicious monsters known as Yoma ravage a medieval world, terrorizing the human race as they hunt down and devour any and every human in their wake. A highly specialized organization has been established to create an army of female mercenaries, infused with Yoma blood, to hunt and kill the Yoma. Clare is one such warrior, a Claymore, alienated from the rest of humanity by her unnatural powers and fearful ability with the blade. In saving his life and dispatching the Yoma that was threatening his village, Clare meets a young boy named Raki and decides to let him follow her in her endless travels. (Though he’s more of a load than any sort of asset.) Privately, Clare is pursuing her own personal mission—to hunt down Priscilla, a former Claymore who fully Awakened to the Yoma blood inside of her and killed Teresa. In the winding path to that end, Clare begins to realize that the Organization knows more about Awakened Beings than they let on to the Claymores, and when she is sent to what would surely be death with several other Claymores that are marked as...
