|
In Jinki: Extend you have 13 year old Aoba Tsuzaki, a girl obsessed with making plastic models (a hobby I hear quite popular in Japan). However, shortly after her grandmother passes away, she is kidnapped by Ryohei Ogawara and taken to a secret government facility. There Ryohei and his father (Genta) fight some sort of monster race called Jinki in their own human made Jinki (basically, just a giant robot), the Moribito-2. However, Aoba sneaks on board and after Genta is injured, she is forced to take the controls of Moribito-2. She is taught how to pilot the machine, and begins aiding the other Angels (the other pilots). Sadly, shortly after this, a student of Genta appears which changes everything. Then you fast forward 3 years. The Angels sans Aoba are attempting to recruit Akao, another cognate and potential pilot. However, she refuses to fight. However, with the reappearance of Genta's student, Shiva, and a few other people she is eventually forced to fight. That is when the plot truly takes an interesting turn.
