Day of the Tentacle is on any legit 'best of' list when it comes to the point and click adventure genre, and for good reason. Thankfully, this twenty-three year old gem has been remastered and re-released on modern platforms as of today, and it's a textbook example of how the greatest games with stand the test of time.

Otome games are essentially visual novels targeting a female demographic. Typically, in addition to a main plot, an important and persistent goal is fostering a romantic relationship between the protagonist and one or more of the other characters. Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ is such a game, and it's available now on the Vita.

Indifferent to the temptations of aberration and bombast, Element4l's Spartan aesthetic plays nicely with its devotion to pure platforming. It also buries Element4l's identity beneath waves of difficulty and a few inventive tricks.
