The cast and crew of the Shin Chan dub is back for one last hurrah as the English dub of the series ends after this dvd set.
Season 3 Part 2 contains episodes 66-78 which is a decent run for the series though the Japanese version has considerably more episodes.
Season 3 Part 2 features many of the same characters that were introduced in Part 1 as well as a host of new characters. The Flamer returns with his psychic plans to conquer the world and burn people to death, Mitzi is still around and shaking off her addiction to delicious brown-brown as well as starting up a relationship with grandpa.
Other stories involve polygamist terrorist pandas, alien invasions, learning to identify serial murderers, the agonizing line quest for sexually satisfying pastries known as Kreme-splosion, orgasmic chair massagers, illegal child smuggling rings and lesbian photographers.
The series ties everything up in a fourth wall breaking episode involving Shin taking a Kappa home with him from the river. The Nohara family desperately attempts to increase their ratings in the final farewell of the cast as the English dub by funimation comes to an end. Even the narrator laments his final words, saying it was a pretty sweet gig since no one cared if he boozed up or jerked off on set.
There’s not really a whole lot else to say about the series that hasn’t been mentioned in the review of Part 1. If you like Southpark this show is probably for you.
